PowerbookG4 for sale...please read

Hey guys,

I'm trying to sell my powerbook G4. Actually I bought this machine from Souq last mid-February for 2800aed with extra battery and iskin free. My mistake was I took the risk of buying without warranty. I was only convinced to buy this stuff from him because I found out he was working in an apple store in media city. I just thought that in case any problems will arise, I could easily seek help from him.

I tried the machine in front of him and it work fine. But after using it for three times, just for checking emails and itunes, the machine started making noise. Now the screen is blank.

I called the seller and asked for help, he told me he doesn't know anything about technical problems. He assured me it was his personal laptop and well maintained. I asked him if he could just find a buyer for this, I'm willing to sell it at 2500, losing 300aed already. He told me he doesn't know anybody. He also can't return my money because he gave me the machine working.

I went to Istyle in Burdubai to have it checked. To my surprise, the technician informed me that the machine has already been tampered, many missing screws and loose parts inside. They're charging me 500aed for repair.

I got disappointed with the seller and called him and sent messages but he didn't replied or answer. I informed him about the technician’s findings and told him I will report to his manager, then that's the only time he replied. He agreed that I come to his apple shop and we will deal nicely. I went there last Sunday, he just told me he can't give the money back and he doesn’t have fault because it has no warranty. That's it! No concern at all, no apologies, nothing! He didn’t even bother to give me the free battery and Iskin that came with the sale!

Since I am losing too much money on this useless machine, I am willing to sell it, please give me reasonable offer. I am also sharing this so it will serve as a warning for you guys buying stuffs. Sellers are very charming and persistent but once sale is done, they no longer care.

The seller is still selling Mac products in souq. I am just a bit concerned what if we get our laptops repaired in their shops, and these guys take off some parts and use it personally so they can make profit from it. I think I got a frankensteined laptop from a Dr. Jekyll and Hyde seller

What to do...charge it to experience! Have a nice day!
