    Buying a Mac Online?

Having problems buying an iMac online, mainly due to the fact that I am not US resident and dont have US credit card. I am looking for a little more than the standard specs on the new imac and even with a US address(Aramex, shop 'n ship), have not had any joy. Does anyone know any online sites which are not particular about this, but still stock good range of machines?

Buying a Mac from store.apple.com is possible if you have them ship to a US address.

    Unhappy

Unfortunately not, when I gave my New York Aramex address, which is a street address, they categorised it as a freight forwarder and cancelled the order.

For apple.com that's true (for Macs at least), but if you know someone in the US you can actually get item(s) shipped to that address.

    Dear Desertcrew,

You can do this with MyUS - US Mail Forwarding, Worldwide Shipping more expensive but it did work for me back in 2007 when i ordered my 1st generation iPhone from Apple Store.

Very strange. my current iMac was bought from Apple.com via Aramex with no issues. Maybe they figured it out? It was around 2 years ago. Though as far as they are concerned, they are delivering to a real US address. Weird. Did they know something was up due to the actual address or the credit card used for the purchase?
