What is a good MSN messenger program for Mac?

I'm not using a mac, but im asking because my brother has one and hates using Mac Messenger(the one by microsoft), he also tried Adium for mac(http://www.adiumx.com/) and said it sucks too because none of thos offer the same funtionalities and features as MSN messenger on Windows.

and to top it all off, his AOL is nto working and it's really putting a damper on the whole Mac experience(MacBook Pro 17")

any help with another MSN messenger on the Mac? what do you guys use?

if none of those things work, he's going back to use Windows and sell his Mac

Is your brother in the UAE? If he is, I don't understand why he wants to connect with AOL, or does he have to for some reason?

I like Adium, but perhaps it's missing some features, I don't know. What features is it he absolutely needs?

There's aMSN, Fire, Proteus (which I think does MSN), JBuddy, and Psi. And more probably...

It would be sad to see your brother dump his MBP because of these issues.

I'll ask him to try those messengers, thanks!

the reason he uses AOL is because when using AOL browser, you have all access to everything in the UAE, it bypasses all the etisalat website blocking

so when he got the mac and tried to log on using AOL(i tried everything and it keeps booting us out), he was very dissapointed with the mac since it only has 1 version of AOL on the mac, on the other hand on the PC, there are 8 version of AOL.

I love Fire.app (and it's free). The only thing I find buggy with it is file transfer, which usually crashes it.

I love the fact it's quite stripped down though. I can't stand MSN's endless animated icons and user pics.
