    issues with print screen. pls help!

    hi, i am trying to figure out why my print screen (command + shift + 3, for example) does not work any more. it used to take screen shots, and save them on my desk top as images. now all i get is an image of blue lines. i have no clue how to fix it. does anybody know where to look for help?

    Does the same happen after restart? In different user accounts?

    this happens now all the time. i only have one user ID.

    Go to System Preferences/Mouse and keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts

    Are your Screen Shots shortcuts disabled?

    Did you ever install any 3rd party screen capture tool like Snapz?

    it is actually enabled. and it does take a picture and saves it on my desk top, but the picture is of diagonal blue and black lines.

    Does the Apple "Grab" application work? Or does it have the same problem?

    No, I have not installed Snapz. I just don't get it - it used to work and then it stopped working. I am attaching what I get when I try to do print screen.

    What is Grab application

    Did you try restarting already, as Magnus suggested?

    Please try and create a new user account and see if the problem persists.

    how do I create a new user account?
    and is there a place in Dubai I can take my computer so that somebody can take a look at it. I have MacBook Pro.
