Angry My New MBP 15" and Macstore Dubai story? What should I do?

I bought a new MBP 15" for my wife, so that now she can join my work enviroment, by using similar software. Anyway, I quickly noticed the Heat issue, which reached to a boiling point, No way you can keep it on your lap or work comfortably on table..

2 weeks ago, it just died.... black screen. Nothing!!

Now it is more than a 2 weeks after giving it to Mac-Store, and no calls regarding my Laptop status.

I called MacStore, MacGirl picks up the phone, and with a rude tone, she never tells me what is my MBP status. and hangs up!

If they say that they will change your laptop for a new one ..... It's B***

So, what should I do?????

You've made your problem public, that's a start. Next I would encourage you to keep contacting them to try to get an answer and keep posting what happens here on the site.

Anyone else reading this, please let us know your experience with the Dubai MacStore or any other Mac seller in the UAE. The more public we can make the problems, the more influence we'll have to change things.

UPDATE:

Let me say this... I am not that type of person who wants to complain about anything. But, unless I act ANGRY , no one will take me serious.

So, Things are getting better!

I called MacStore yesterday, asking about my laptop status. They informed me that the Motherboard is corrupted!!!!!

I think MotherBoard is the main thing! once they open that poor thing, things are going to fall apart, it will not feel tight and fresh!

I hate loosing the nice soft rubber under MBP, you know! or having battery loose and hanging, etc...

So, After I heard the news, i was asked nicely to pick up temporary laptop! GREAT! I left home from Deira, 35 min Drive, and picked up 17" wide screen.

I really appreciate that MacStore, Thank you........ but I would really love to see you taking care more of my new MBP 15"

Thats good news... I am an MBP user with the small unofficial issues of heat and buzz.

I wonder if they give out temp. 17"MBPs for each and every MBP in repair. Good news is that Apple is replacing motherboards on "older" ones with new buzz-free boards. Maybe thats what you'll get.

I read somewhere that newly redesigned MBP will come out with updated CPUs... I sell mine and replace it if they're worth it!!!

I'm glad they offered a loan machine, but I wonder, like MacUAE if they do that with everyone...

This all feels so haphazard though... chance like... it's hit or miss whether you're getting a good or bad MBP, it's hit or miss whether you get it fixed/replaced whatever. It shouldn't have to be like that.

MacStore stories in UAE... it never ends.... well... last time i went there, I wanted to buy an extra charger for my MBP, i told the guy that i want one, I paid for it, and the guy hands me an open box of a charger. It's not that am picky, but when i buy something new, i would like to see it sealed, specially when u pay around 30% extra price !
I told the guy that am sorry, but i wouldnt take an open unit, and he will have to give me a sealed one, guess what... he started shouting at me... and got offended !
he said he just opened it in front of me, to make sure that everything is fine inside the box ! HELLO MacStore (at least could have asked my permission)!
anyways... at the end i got a new sealed one and i was pleased

I call this "fish market" customer service... if a salesman shouts at me, I will basically make him swallow the charger... and get a sealed one

Seriously, if this is their idea of the "Apple Store" experience they promise I will basically shop online and get cheaper prices and no warantee, since they don't honor the goods they sell...why bother!!!

UpDate:

Not MBP. but the old 17" (Full of finger prints) ha..

I tried it last night, and it was freezing and kind of the bad one in the showroom.

Another Good news:

The manager called me personally, (was informed, + I think they read my review; I believe) took my issue seriously, Finally, I can see someone is pushing MacStore.

I will hold to the promises been given

I know yours is a MBP, iDubai, but this would probably work with it as well
