Entourage 2004 sync with Hotmail problem

am not sure if any of you guys have had a similiar problem, and managed to solve it, i have a paid hotmail account, with 2Gb storage, recently, am using Entourage to check my Hotmail inbox.

recently, two of the mail folders on my hotmail wont accept syncing with my entourage, each has around 1000 mails in them, i always receive the error :

HTTP error. The server is temporarily unable to fulfill the request.
Could not retrieve mail.
Account name: "Hotmail"
Error: -18497

with MS outlook, i emptied the folders, and left only 10~15 mails on the hotmail server, still, everytime i try syncing Entourage, it detects 1000+ mail messages to download - i donno where on earth it gets that from - , and it fails with the same error.
i tried emptying Entourage Cache in vain.... i feel hopeless....

on top of that, i subscribed to the mail live beta service, and since then am not able to access my hotmail account through any web browser.. IE, firefox, safari, opera.. u name it... they all dont work !!!!

P.S: all other folders in Entourage - Hotmail works perfectly fine

anyone ?

If you have just upgraded your mail to Live mail (2GB) then it won't work.

Sorry.

So it's only two particular folders that has this problem? Are there other folders with as many emails or more in them that work? If not perhaps the number of emails is the problem.

Did you try to create two new folders and try 1) to sync the new folders empty, and 2) to copy the emails in the two trouble folders to the new ones and sync?

I don't know if an upgrade to paid 2Gb Hotmail account will create these problems but then I would think nothing would work and not just a couple of folders.

Ohh the old 2GB package, I thought new Live Mail one.

Anyway if it is Live Mail (beta) then its protocol has been broken, so until software developers get new details about Live Mail (beta) they can't fix it.

well, actually i have the ols Hotmail plus subscription, MSN Personal address subscription, and Live Mail Beta !

Live mail is never working, i can never access my hotmail through the web anylonger, i should opt out from it !

anyways, for the entourage, it seems that one of the messages is causing the connection to drop, i created a new folder, copied the mails into it, Entourage started syncing, after it downloaded like 10 mails, it started giving the same error again....

thats gotta be a tough job !!!!
