program quits unexpectedly

hi
ive been having huge problems with desktop n screen saver window
i want to change my background but when i start the window it quits
HELP is needed here ....

the usual reply lolol
start /Applications/utilities/Console.app

do whatever you usually do to reproduce the problem. and share the errors (usually the last couple of lines in console.app).
so we can see what is going wrong !

and at last, some more details about the problem, os details, what u doing exactly, step by step will help us help you.

but how can return it as it was be4

I'd suggest start by moving all pictures out of /Library/Desktop Pictures/. Put them somewhere else and then try the pref panel again.

Hii .. i started transferring the pictures from the desktopand mac HD to Pictures folder
but i still get the same error

have you recently installed any application that has anything to do with quicklook/picture editing ?
what was the last application you did install before the problem started happening ?

does creating and logging on as another use help you get rid of the error ?

just wild guesses.

my last 2 applications r FFview(4 reading comics/manga) n Vuze AKA azerus
ffview works perfectly fine unless i open 10 zipped files at the same time
do u suggest i uninstall the ffview??
sometimes Vuze also start troubleshooting when i have too much torrents on it
n yesterday i added abt 17 torrents to it :S
EDIT::
i logged on to the guest account n the desktop n screensaver works perfectly fine
edit ::
if i want to uninstall a program i just drag it to trash right ?

i got back the original display the space pic
but the desktopn n SS window still close abnormally

So you moved all desktop pictures out? Then logged out and in again, or? Try the same with screensavers (if you have any) in Library/Screen Savers.

Try trashing "com.apple.desktop.plist" in ~/Library/Preferences and log out.
