program quits unexpectedly - Page 2

i woke up this morning n got the previous pic back
n when i click on the desktop window :the desktop just stays as it is but i can go to the screen saver window
this is so freaky BTW .
i removed all pic (i dont have SS) to Pictures folder
trashed "com.apple.desktop.plist"
n restarted the laptop

can you try in terminal (/Application/Utilities/Terminal.app)

plutil ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

if result was OK at the end,

try the following :

plutil ~/Library/Preferences/*.plist | grep -v OK

it turned out to be a corrupted com.apple.desktop.plist

deleting it, forced it to recreate, and problem was fixed.
