Keyboard Illumination Dear All, I just got a MacBook Pro and seem to have a problem with the keyboard illumination. I press the F5 & F6 keys to adjust the brightness of the keyboard illumination and for some reason cannot. The OSD shows a circle with a stroke when i press either of the buttons. Any way to resolve this issue??? Thanks.

It doesn't make a difference if i hold the FN keys and press F5 & F6. BTW, i just got the MacBook Pro last night. It worked perfectly last night and inspite of the room being bright or dark, i could always use the F5 & F6 keys to adjust the illumination of the keyboard and due to some reason today i cannot do it anymore.

ravi, try this. in a dark place switch ur MPB on. generally with lights on the F5 and f6 dont work showing a circle with a dash exactly as you mentioned. But once your in a dark room try F5 F6 if that does not work try using it with the function key. This should do it for you.
