TheOlivers is on a distinguished road
Time Capsule

Sorry guys, but it's me again and I'm really trying to set myself up so there won't be any problems, but in the process I seem to be finding more! I thought I would post this, not just so that I can resolve my particular issue, but rather so that others might avoid the same problems.

In order to make sure that I didn't run out of capacity, on 5th June I purchased a brand new Macbook with 250GB hard disc with Leopard. I started to use Time Machine and was very impressed with it, but feared that my back up disc may prove to be short lived, so I bought a 1TB Time Capsule last week, since when I have been trying to install it. Everything appears to be fine until the set up is completed and Time Capsule resets itself, during which it goes off the screen, and a note comes up to say Time Capsule is restarting. After a long wait I get a message saying that Time Capsule has been set up but the computer cannot find any Apple wireless devices. The light on Time Capsule glows green and, during the set up process I instructed it to join our existing wireless network.

Why can I not set it up - what am I doing wrong please?

Chris
