I remember seeing in other forums that they can add there ICQ account or Hotmail/ Yahoo. Can we add out iChat account somewhere here!

It will be cool to see each other using iSigh.

I'm not quite sure what you mean... Do you mean using iChat to chat with other users on the site? Or something else?

I've been looking into adding a chat feature on the site and that may happen soon. It will be an online chat thing and not iChat though, but it will be integrated with the forums and the username/password you use here.

I meant that some forums has some kind of a logo next to the nickname. once you click on it, it shows there hotmail account name. so you can add it in MSN.

I was thinking about the iChat, that I can see other people's iChat account, and add them to my iChat account. So like having you and other guys on the forum on my iChat.

aaaaaaAA!! I'm making it more complicated!!!!!! sorry

If you have .Mac, you could add that username to the AIM part in your Control Panel (under Profile).

I currently don't have a .Mac account, but I added my Gmail to the AIM part since users can add it to their iChat to chat with me.

AIM = AOL Instant Messenger. That's what you really use when you use a .Mac account for chatting. If you don't have .Mac you can, I guess, sign up for just an AIM account.

Okay, let's try and crack this...
- You're using your .Mac account in iChat, right? If so, does any other type of account work in iChat, i.e. jabber?
- Can you connect the same Mac to the internet with a different internet connection? If so does it work on that other connection?
- Can you use iChat on a different Mac on the same internet connection?
- If you can connect a Windows computer to the same internet connection, does it work in MSN IM, AOL IM, etc?

We need information iDubai to be able to help...everyone else - pitch in so we can get this working!

iDubai, which ports are you using ? i used to have a similiar problem.... no way to connect to ,mac neither to AIM.... based on a post in one of the forums, i changed the server settings in iChat to use for AIM :

server : login.oscar.aol.com
port : 5191

and its working like a charm, i dont really recall what were the default settings.... can u verify yours ?
