The Updater cannot locate the product to be updated

Hi all,

Like the title suggests, that's the darn error I keep getting whenever I try to install Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I'm actually using the trial version to get some hands on experience before I buy the software.. Can someone tell me why this error keeps happening and how I can rectify it?

Here's a page with lots of people having the same problem, and this technote seems to have helped some of them.
