| Duh, what am I doing wrong? My Powerbook picking up signal from my rubbish Siemens router and therefore browsing Firefox) and getting mail (Thunderbird). My MacBook also getting signal, browsing but is not downloading mail. Admittedly, they both going thru' a web proxy server - but all the configs are the same. Its driving me crazy trying to figure it out. If I ethernet the MacBook, I can browse but still no email. If I hand out of my bedroom window I can pick up a Linksys and get me mail on the MacBook - clearly not a clever situation. Any MacHeads out there with a word of wisdom? Thanks |

I think you might not have DNS configured on your router. To test this could you browse to a website that you have never been to before (from your local siemens router) - say - OpenOffice.org Ninja and tell me whether you can reach the website or not. Dan | |
