ichat login time out

My iChat does not log in. People tell me that in Dubai some of this programs like Skype are controlled by the government and that I have to purchase some kind of VNP software to unblock...

Is this true? How can I use my iSight in this country any help out there? Magnum any ideas?

How someone could go around the blocking/proxying that happens in the UAE is not something we discuss on the site.

Have you tried changing the port in iChat? The standard one (5190 I believe) doesn't work. Search the site, this has been discussed many times before
