I have this issue also in leopard. The thing is that every user should have a Trash Folder in /Users/username directory and mine has no .Trash folder so the solution is to create again the .Trash folder in your user directory either you create it in terminal or make new folder but you have to include the . "dot" at the beginning this has solve my trashing issue in leopard

Updating OSX will not fix this bug… Yes it is a bug.

Chako, can you check language list in the International preferences, what are the languages there?

You need to have access priveledge to create the folder either admin or that specific user. My guess is that you have permission issue on your trash, that's why you cant empty the trash cause you don't have permission on it.

hey Maccebu i have all the authorization
and i have solved the problem by deleting the trash file and creating a new one using the terminal...

the main problem is from the language...
