| Specs Hi S2000, here is the location for the software: Memtest OS X - Home Can you post the specs of your ram (i.e. ram speed etc, and also could you post the exact specs of your Mac). If you go to the command line could you run dmesg -M and post the output as well. What I am trying to determine is if the problem is bad ram (which the memtest should be able to tell you). Or whether the Ram is not the right ram for the apple. (which is what the hardware specs, ram speed, apple model number and dmesg will tell us.) Dan |

| HI S2000, No problems with your Ram, it is the correct speed, pin and type for your specific MacBook. Could you tell me what is the story with your original Ram. Is one stick your original mac ram and one the new or are they both new ? To troubleshoot you could do the following: Scenario 1 Pull one ram stick out and work with just 1GB, and then repeat with the other piece of Ram. As Magnus stated earlier neither replacing ram nor changing hard drives will invalidate your warranty. If during this process you discover that your kernel panic does not occur, then you have found the culprit - the Bad Ram. Alternatively you could pay $1.50 for the software and test the ram. I am willing to bet you will find that either one or both RAM sticks are bad. Dan |
