Is it software or hardware ?

    Hi

I have recently starting facing a problem. The bottom right of my Mac screen turns dark and fuzzy. See image below. The black patch disappears after a couple of hours.

Also the % sign , t , g , b do not work with the right shift key if I want to use capital letters. They work fine with the left shift key but the t does not work. If I want a capital t, the only option is to use Caps lock. I was going through this problem for a month then it disappeared one fine day. Today it has surfaced again.

Both the above problems happen together. I've been through the repair permissions bit but doesn't help.

Any thoughts anyone ? Would really appreciate your help.

I would say this is a hardware issue.
It seems humidity has found its way into your system.
Which would explain how that dark area disappears as you use the machine.

As far as the screen is concerned, I second Fangpyre, moisture or humidity. I've seen similar things before. The keyboard, assuming it's an external one (you don't say what Mac you have) does it do the same on another Mac? Or does it do the same in all user accounts on the same Mac? If the problem is there in all instances, I'd say hardware. Since the keys that don't work are in line with each other, any chance something's been spilled there?

If it isn't an external keyboard i.e. a notebook, then try to connect an external one one it.
It will take any USB keyboard.
