Anybody know how to work with Belkin routers?

There is a fellow in Dubai who is having trouble with a new Belkin modem/router. He is on a G5 Powermac with an Etisalat DSL connection through a Belkin 7633-4 Modem/Router.

His problems, as I understand them, arise within iChat AV. He can use iChat for audio and video conferences as long as he is the one receiving the invitation but he cannot initiate audio or video chats. If he tries, both parties get an error message. He also cannot send/receive files via iChat. This function worked with his old modem (an Etisalat-supplied USB modem). His problems are described at greater length on the Apple discussion forums here, where Ralph Johns, the iChat guru from the UK, is helping him.

The fellow in Dubai has tried doing a firmware update on his Belkin device, but has been unable to run or install the update. If anybody here can help guide him on doing the firmware update for his modem/router, this might help him move to the next step of his troubleshooting.
