    Hi,

Can you recommend to me what is a good cleaning fluid in mac. I am using a regular fluid that can be bought at supermarket, and I want to get rid of those discoloring stuff since it is white.

    Any suggestions??

    Thank you

    Try acetone (i.e. nail polish).

I would not use Acetone on plastic (not sure if they come in various concentrations?!?). Polished plastic would be ruined by it... I tried to clean a small scratch on the Nintendo Wii once and smeared the panel... left a dull finish.

Maybe Macs use better plastics (Polycarbonate).

Look for a Non-Acetone polish remover!!!

Thank you for bringing that up MacUAE.
This is for the inside, not the polished outside.
It will ruin the candy white shell, but if you are cleaning the area around the keyboard it is great.

You can also use toothpaste, though that takes a bit more elbow grease to get it clean.
    Try something white.

To clean the case, not for inside the Mac, try 409. You will be surprised how much crap that can get off

and if you what to get your Mac looking like new, give it to MacUAE, he is amazing at making them look like new ))
