iMac in Carrefour!?

Hello all!
Anyone who visits the forum often knows I'm still on the look out for a good deal on an iMac..
I was in carrefour in city center the other day and glanced at the usual PCs and saw an iMac amongst them under the Acer stall...

wha?

i literally stopped in my tracks n went over to find out it was true, and not a mirage (i thought all the iMac research was getting into my head causing me to hallucinate)

and it was on a really good offer! specs (i noted them down, though ppl thought i was nuts for standing there taking notes in front of it)

Intel Core 2 Duo
2.8 GHz
24" screen
2GB ram
320GB hard drive
6MB Cache
ATI Radeon 2600 pro
iMac 8,1

and the price was 6500dhs!!!

not a bad deal, i think they're trying to clear out old iMacs, it was from one gen before the current one, still with the alumium body and leopard OS X

i think i saw a macbook air there too, it's def worth checking out if you're looking to buy a mac!!

i'm still deliberating because more than processor speed, i need ram and this only has 2GB! Anyone know how much it costs to upgrade ram in an iMac?

Yeah I saw those, too.
They are great if you are looking for a bargain.
But you won't find any of the latest stuff.

As for RAM.
It will cost you about 300-400 if you buy it off Bank St.

i am also after good deal on 27" quad core and the best price i got so far is from Computer centre-Mankhool road, their iMac comes with 1yr local and 1yr international warranty.
