Macbook pro Trackpad Issue !!

Hi ... i just bought the latest Macbook pro 15. inch and everything works fine except one thing in the System Preference » Keyboard & Mouse » I have Mouse instead of Trackpad tap ?! it is very strange i tried re-installing but nothing changed !!

I tried to look for some hints under help and when i tried clicking on Making Trackpad active the following message appeared " The Trackpad tab of Keyboard & Mouse preferences is hidden because you do not have a trackpad installed on your computer " How come ?

On first use it was there but after installing Leopard it disappeared and Mouse tab appears instead it is really irritating, if anyone has any idea please advise ...

Thanks

You have the "latest" MBP but you installed Leopard - so it didn't come with Leopard?

It came with leopard but i installed it because of another problem (i was trying to connect an external hard drive but the files did not appear), i thought if i re-installed it this might be fixed but it didn't and then the trackpad problem appeared ...

OMG .. you would be surprised i was just trying o take a snapshot of this but Trackpad option there, i was playing with Disk utility and did repair maybe that solved the problem.

Thanks for replying back
