This is an old issue that I forgot to close sooner.
For anyone interested in the the developments of this post, I would like to say that after I took it to Macstore in Abu Dhbai mall, they not only got the screen issue rectified within a week or so, but very kindly let me take out an "old stock" machine as a recompense until my unit came back.... that's great service you don't see often.

Glad to hear it. It's nice to see examples of good service. Often it's easier to focus on the negative.
