Apple support in Dubai?

I'm new to this forum so apologies if my question has been asked before!

I've got a Powerbook 12" G4 which has suddenly died on me, I think my hard disc is at fault. I've exceeded the warranty period.

Do you know where's the best place to take it for service in Dubai? How much do you think they will charge me? Being a mac and this being Dubai I expect I'll be paying a lot!

Any help will be most appreciated!

I don't know what it's going to cost you, but this thread has information about service centers.

Thanks Emirates Mac for your response.
I've checked the post, but it seems to deal mainly with battery recalls,, anyway I found some information about PACC and about a store at Ibn Battuta, so that might dictate my activities in the next few days.

Thanks again.

Yes the thread is about the battery recall, but the service centers are the same for all service/repairs.

Take the battery out for 15min or so.

Plug ur laptop direct for 15min or so.

Replace the battery and unplug from wall.

Try it on!

It worked once for me!!???!?!?!?

FIRST, Check battery below, click on that small dot, to give you the battery reading. Try to keep it full.

Thanks iDubai for your feedback.. I tried that but my laptop worked for 5 min or so then shut down.. the fan's busted for sure.. not sure if the noise is from the HD or from the processor fan.. anyway it's now with PACC down in Karama.. so let's just hope it doesn't cost a lot!

Thanks again.

Check if its the memory. I had a recent issue with my MacBook Pro... it just wouldn't boot. I just reinstalled the memory and it just worked fine.
