How can I get a Mac Mini with 8 GB in the UAE?

    Hi there,

I know what you are going to answer "Mac Mini are limited to 4 GB RAM..."

Actually not, some vendors are proposing upgrades that can fit the Mac Mini, and from what I have read on the web, it looks it works fine...

An example of such RAM here at OWC in the US

    My question is -

    - do any of you know if any of the Apple resellers in the UAE (Abu Dhabi or Dubai if possible) may propose a Mac Mini 2.53 Ghz with this upgraded 8 GB?
    - if not, do you know any Apple reseller that may install the 8GB RAM ordered from the US in a Mac Mini 2.53 Ghz to be bought in his shop?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

Doesn't putting 8GB in void the warranty? I assume it does so then any authorized reseller won't put it in, I guess. Why don't you just buy the RAM and do it yourself? It's not that hard.

    Thanks for your answer Magnus!

Not that hard? Well, the Mac Mini is a fantastic machine - it will be my third one - but unfortunately, when it comes to upgrading it, it's a different story unless you are a good DIYer... which is not my case...

Not that hard, not that easy... See this free DYI installation video for instance.

I really recommend Other World Computing by the way. Not only they're one of the best places to get all kinds of Mac upgrades, but their service is top quality as well. And they have very good tutorials and videos, such as the above...
    Cheers,
