Hi,

I'm running Word 2004 and Word 2008. I need to keep 2004 as it is compatible with the version of Endnote I am using for research, but I do most of my daily work in Office 2008 and want this to be the default setting whenever I click on a .doc.

When I want to open the document, I have tried "Show in finder," right-click "Open with", "Other," selecting Word 2008 in User/ Software and changing the settings to "Always open with" Word 2009 and it opens in Word 2009. However, the next time I click on the document it goes right back to opening in Word 2004 again!

How can I cure my Leopard's amnesia?
