Time Machine Back up Intervals

Hi,

Is it possible to change the back up intervals for Time Machine? i.e. TM runs every hour. For my needs this is too often. I back up to an external mass storage device on my wireless network (I can now understand why Apple don't advertise the fact that this can even be done, now they have launched Time Capsule at around $300!!), and while TM is backing up every hour (for hours, so it seems) all other wireless applications slow down markedly, like print jobs to wireless printer, and just being online.

Any way to reduce the intervals from hourly to say once at 3 am?

Thanks.
