Question Website program to replace Frontpage

Hi guys & girls.

I'm finally getting my MacBook Pro tomorrow night; my first entry into the Apple world.

I'm running the birding website in the UAE;
Birding the United Arab Emirates; checklists, site-info, photos, etc.
using Microsoft Frontpage 2003, and would like to get recomendations from you as to which Mac-program I should be buying.

Same for a good FTP upload program to use.

Thanks.

Some more information than that would be good. Like are you comfortable doing some hand coding? If so, I'd strongly recommend Coda. There's also of course DreamWeaver. If you want something easier to maintain then try RapidWeaver but since you have existing pages I'm not sure how well it would work.

They all have FTP support in them. If you want an FTP client, check out Transmit or CyberDuck.

From what I've seen on your website, you might be able to get away with iWeb.
I've used Dreamweaver for a bit.
But then I ended up using iWeb.
Its not as strong as the other programs (it doesn't allow for coding i.e. customizing)
But what it offers is strong enough for most sites.

Thanks guys - I'll order iWeb first and see how it goes. I do not need a very advanced program and iWeb sounds good from what I can see online.

No need to order it, it's on your new Mac. It's part of iLife which comes with every new Mac.

Just back from the store Festival City and they said the same. Thanks.
I got a wireless Mighty Mouse & an extra power-adapter so trip not in vain.
And a couple of magazines with your name inside Magnus; to be read once my active 10-month old settles down.

3 hours & counting before The Book is In Hand.

Mine and many others' names too I might add, it's truly a community effort. Let us know what you think about Shuffle, please.
