Dubai Holiday Calendar for iCal

I have been hunting high and low for an ical for Dubai Holidays, some of my staff say that Thursday is a holiday, which I have found to be true, but would like them in ical, it appears Apple's calendar has not been updated. Any Ideas?

Thanks

Google is your friend.

Watteau,

Here are a couple of ideas -> All are based around the Google Calender, which is ical based, and which also has a UAE holiday calender option that you can subscribe too.

Do you have a gmail account ? If not go get one Then open up your account and select the calender option (top left of the screen) Now Select "Manage Calender" from the left hand side, and then choose the add calender option.

Now type UAE in the calender search, and scroll down. select the Bank Holidays UAE and add to calender.

Now that you are subscribed to it. You have a couple of options:

(01) Widget - this allows you to view your google calender via a widget.
Google Calendar Dashboard Widget 3.0 for Mac OS X | Manas Tungare
or
Apple - Downloads - Dashboard Widgets - Google Calendar Widget

(02) Google Gadget - download and install it.
Google Gadgets:* Google Calendar

(03) Google Sync - This allows you to sync your Gmail calender etc. with the built in apple mac apps: Address Book, calender etc.
Macness, attaining a higher state of Mac OSX usefullness
or
Spanning Sync - Sync iCal and Google Calendar

Hope this helps.
Dan

I don't think the calendar's found on Apple's site would be update that often, especially not the holiday ones. An issue here is that the holidays here don't necessarily fall on the same calendar days each year since they depend on the lunar cycles not the calendar. That's also why many holidays are announced just a few days in advance, which makes it hard to impossible for centralized calendars like those on Apple's site to be updated.
