    Guess you didn't read the email from a few days ago (also here)? It's called Google Friend Connect. Seemed like a nice idea, we'll see if users like it or not.

    Well its freaking me out. can I disable it? or am I stuck with it everytime I visit the site and Shufflegazine?

    I don't think there's anything you as a single user can do other than totally disabling JS. Why is it freaking you out?

    It just flashes random comments by users and I keep feeling like there is a ghost in the iMac. Very scary stuff.

    blocking the bar at the bottom

    if you want to block the google friend connect bar at the bottom, and you're using firefox, d/l the plugin "adblock" from the firefox site (its an amazing ad blocking tool for pop-up ads, and others) and once its installed, when you right-click on the google friend connect frame, an option comes "adblock frame", and no more frame!

    That could be a start of a long discussion about using a free site, blocking ads, and then complaining about the site
