In the end it WILL cost more than a usable LS2. There was a nice Vette Z06 2004 model, not a scratch for same not long ago for about 65K.

Building a car is ALWAYS more expensive than buying a car. If I ever meet you I'll show you the charger's receipts. lol.
Sigh* so ive heard about the costs of upgrading...its like a computer..no matter what you upgrade there's always a bottleneck in the system that needs to be upgraded for it to show its real potentials...I guess the most i can do right now is do upgrades one thing at a time. I hope i never come across a time where all my efforts would go down the drain when it comes to the inspection.

And 65k for a Z06 would have been sweet deal. I find it strange to believe that someone would sell it at that price..mhh probably the financial crisis.

It had over 90K on the odometer. Not that I would care. Id have gutted it and dumped a 7 liter into her.

Yes, when I replaced my motor we needed a new cam (I already had an aftermarket cam, but I needed a different one) then to make sure she could breathe I already had the LT headers but I needed a bigger throttle body, then I needed a new Tq converter to make sure the max power hit the wheels, then we needed better rotors for stopping, and of course, we needed to replace the front calipers, and then new suspension, then new tuning, then we said oh crap, the 90mm TB is too big, we need 85mm (the 90mm is a 1000 dollars, just sitting here) then I wanted her lowered, and a mixup happened and I ended up with TWO coilover kits, then I couldnt get her over a bump, so I went back to stock (So I now ave 2 BRAND NEW coil over kits sitting here, one for 900 bucks, one for 1300)

Its annoying. And I still need a limited slip diff, new 1/2 shafts... Its the never ending story (I loved that movie)

Anyways. Dont do it unless you're willing to spend at least 3 or so years and 150K on her. Im already at 150K and Im not done.

Mhh Hey im not an expert but why would it make any difference between the 90mm and 80mm TB since they both fit?

Mhh so from what you mentioned it seems some of the aftermarkets were taken out because you either didnt plan things properly or somewhere along the line you wanted MORE

And you know for a 150K i would try my best and order in an Aerial Atom(the vTec fitted version) and make it street legal in the garage. The other day my friend mentioned it and i never heard of it and to my surprise it was actually right under the Porsche Carrera GT on Topgear. Although it doesnt have an AC i wouldnt mind aslong as it has a passessnger seat.

Any way we can ask everyone to try to not turn threads not about cars into threads about cars?
