Well, it should be about programming...
i am developing for many years, as well is i do it in MacOS.

It can be from java to gcc/g++ and everything around writting your own applications in MacOS...
even i am planning to provide some technical tutorials to write at least your first small test program...

so far i dont know if this community is interested in coding for MacOS?!

I think this is a fantastic idea.... I have always wanted to code in Mac ...

I think as a MUG, we should create something that is useful to not only the EMUG but the rest of the Mac users ....

How about we start off with creating a widget that displays the movies in the UAE ... though you could use Apple's web clip, it is not at all elegant ...

May be we can contact Grand Cinemas and Cinestar to help us with the data feed ..

If we can get an RSS feed from them it shouldn't be that hard.

Sure someone with Leopard could create a widget by selecting part of a web page, but don't we want something better than that? Besides I'm not even sure the information it requires is on a web page somewhere.
