Etisalat MF633(USB Modem) with Outlook

This is something i thought might come helpful for others.

I had an issue with Etisalat MF633(USB 3G MODEM)

I get internet with no problem..but had issue when using it with outlook. I have Etisalat email account configured in the Outlook. I can receive but cannot send mails. The OS is Vista, i tried the same same on another computer with XP but no luck.

Solution:- In the Outlook, Tools->Account settings->Go to settings of the email account-> More settings-> Connection tab->Select LAN and also check connect via modem when outlook is offline.

Connect using 3rd party dialer, select Etisalat in the Modem section. If u have installed Etisalat USB modem drivers properly "Etisalat" will be shown in the dropdown menu Under Modem. Click ok and apply.

This should help u out.

Before reaching to this solution I tried with Etisalat Support...as usual I was disappointed.

Are you using this with a MAC or a normal PC?

I tried it on both PC and MAC....works well
