| How do you know before the purchase? Well if you're buying a new one, they're all Intel now. If it's a used one, check the model at someplace like apple-history.com. You can run Windows on a PPC Mac with Virtual PC or SoftWindows, but they are both discontinued and it will be sloooow. So you bought the iMac just to run Windows on it? |

| Of course not. I got the Mac because there are more PC crashes in my study than vehicle crashes on Emirates Rd. I opted for a secondhand Mac... Well, because it sounded like a good deal at the time. I'll probably stick to that idea. I'm running everything from Word to Photoshop CS3, but there are applications like Hallmark Greeting Cards and a few others that will only run on the Windows platform. I thought I could get rid of that useless piece of $#it under the table, but I guess not. Thanks for the help. |
