shuffle November 2006 It's finally here! Our very first newsletter for November 2006. I said it would be published on Nov 3 and I made it with a few hours to spare emug_newsletter_nov_2006.pdf [PDF 4.1Mb] I've checked it in Acrobat Reader and Preview and it seems to work fine in both. I'm sure there are some issues with it since this is our first attempt at doing this, so let us know about anything you come across. Thanks to the contributors. We have to try to make this a monthly thing now so I'll send out an email soon again. The tentative deadline for submissions for the next one is in two week's time. I think we'll try to make the first Friday in every month the publishing date, so the submission date is two weeks before that. I hope you enjoy it and I can hope it only gets better from here

Thanks guys! Especially considering it's our first one I'm pretty happy with it. As we get more used to writing stuff and layout I'm hoping we can only get better. And I hope more members will get involved with creating stuff for our newsletter. Have a look at what's in there in this edition and you'll see that you can contribute something.

Well done... I see all your images came out sharp enough while file size is still relatively small, you must share your PDF configuration with us. And hey, check out the index on the first page, just point with the hand tool at each topic to take you directly to the relevant page. Many interesting topics, I really need to read all. Good work EmiratesMac and extended to all contributers.

I have this Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, which I have installed ; but have never used. I got it when I purchased WACOM graphire 4X5 Pen,Mouse and Tablet a few months back. I've never used that also ; just an impulse purchase. I will try to use my Adobe Photoshop with your step-by-step guide. Many Thanks | |

Create a water reflection with Adobe Photoshop : Learnings Zaid, For 1st time, ever I used My Adobe Photoshop Elements 3, using your Step by Step Guide. (There's always a First Time..!) Just a couple of comments : In Step 2 in my application I followed Image--> Resize--> Canvas Size to complete your Step 2 Step 3 was OK and I found the menu commands as you've explained. In Step 4, I didn't find Transform in my Edit menu. So what i did was: Image---> Rotate---> Flip Layer Vertical (which gave me the result you've explained) Step 5 was OK and found the menu commands as you've explained. Last Step : I couldn't find a 'Burn Tool" in the Tool palette; but there was something called "blur..". However, I couldn't quite get on with it. Any way, Thanks Zaid and also to "Shuffle" Just made me discover my Adobe Photoshop application for the first time
