We heard at GITEX from several people that the prices of the new notebooks would be closer to the US prices than the products through ABM have been before. If these prices are the real ones then that doesn't seem to be very true.

Apple's resellers in this region continue to rip us off. Now with the drop in the exchange rates, even Europe and UK are cheaper than us. I was in Germany last week and while the new MacBooks aren't out there yet, the price on the white MacBooks has now become much cheaper than here due to the low Euro, and that's even before the VAT refund.

I emailed Fusion Logic, Apple's reseller here in Oman and they gave me their prices:

2.4 Ghz/2Gb/250Gb New Model R.O 760
2.0 Ghz/160GB/1GB New Model R.O 650

hi guys,,, they are selling the new mac at istyle today at the dubai mall,,, it was all the 13 inch,, the 15 inch gonna be available after 10 days as the sales guy told me,

just bought (yesterday night) the new macbook 2.4Ghz/2Gb RAM/250GB HDD for my GM from Computer Direct Access.... 7200 Dhs ;-) on top of it of course the 5% discount for EMUG users (L).

Any one knows how much if i upgraded it to 4gb memory..the last selling price????

Get it from Computer Plaza.
