I don't think you are supposed to have each and every one of Apple's products.

As for the professor, sorry to hear that.
But I doubt that would work.
They can always trace the Gamma Residue the laser gives off.

Apple promised a product transition by the end of September with "technologies and features that others can't match" at a profit margin that no one else can approach
Now this is the exciting news, product transition!!, and technologies others cant match!!!

I am betting on a lot of updates coming in the next 6 months. From the MBP and MB to the current iPod Nanos and possibly the Touch.

Some of the upgrades I am expecting are new some kind of new user interface, something like optimus keybaord possibly on the MBP and MB line. I can also see an improvement on Nano and Touch capacities.

As for the tablet, I am doubtful of a full fledged tablet and read a great article about it today, they just aren't conducive to actually doing anything for prolonged periods of time. And, While I am sure they are great for graphic design and such, would it be difficult to work when your interface is having your hand in front of the screen?

All that being said, does anyone think they will break into the e-reader market and compete with Amazon and Sony using the ITS for distribution? If they did, I could see this as a tablet like device that would work for web browsing and email, but wouldn't be a full fledged computer.

I hope those opinions don't ruffle any feathers.

Nice thoughts, but i think the hand-in-front-of-screen wont be that much a big problem, considering the new tablet will use the same handwrite recognition of the iPhone 2, so u will work with stylus or one finger most of the time.

Im sure if Apple released a tablet it would be the nicest thing ever, maybe more than iPhone, simply cuz it will be a lightweight-multitouch-macbook and who knows maybe it will come with GPS , so u never get lost in Dubai again

What I don't understand is all the crazy stuff PC makers are making as touch screen desktop.
A tablet I can understand, but a desktop?!!

As for a reader, I doubt anything will be coming any time soon.
1st it is a very specialized machine.
2nd Steve commented on Amazon saying "nobody reads anymore".

He may backtrack that if the market proves to be feasible, but not now.
And if it does happen, it will take some time for it to come through the pipeline.
