macbook intel core duo and cs2

hi

i will be installing cs2 on my intel core duo macbook. it isnt intel core duo2. have been reading up on various forums and discussions and it seems that cs2 is not compatible with the macbooks. it was made mainly for the powerbooks.

can anyone throw more light on this and whether i should install cs2 or not. i would also be installing adobe lightroom. will this work properly?

suggestions and advice will be appreciated.

thanks

CS2 is not Universal Binary, meaning it's not specially made for Intel processors. So on a MacBook it runs under Rosetta, which translates PowerPC code to Intel code, which makes is slow. CS2 runs though and most things should work, but there are some things that may not. I ran CS2 on a MacBook for a long time and had very few problems other than it being slow. Did you search the site? Search for "Rosetta" or "Universal Binary" and you should find several threads talking about these issues.

Zaid Al Hilali will become famous soon enough
You should be alright with the current (1st) version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. It would run perfectly on your MacBook.

Remember that you can download a trial version, it is full application that runs for a month.
