New Imac: I3 vs Core2duo 3.0ghz

hi all,

i saw that apple just released the new versions of iMac with all ATI Radeon as standard package in every iMac.
I just bought my first iMac 2 months ago with the old specs.

I want to know what is the difference in performance of my old version of 3.0ghz Core 2 Duo and Nvidia graphics versus the new 3.0ghz i3 ATI Radeon 21.5 inch. Everything is the same.

i just feel cheated, i should have waited for 2 months..

Which model of iMac you bought? the one with 256Mb dedicated graphics memory or the one with Nvidia Geforce 9400M graphics processor which is shared ?

In my opinion, you wouldn't notice that much of a performance difference between the new and old systems.

there would definitely be a difference in performance atleast when we consider the part of graphics.
the basic models of previous generation of iMac comes with a shared Video memory and the current model is with a dedicated video memory.

And also as the processor technology is advanced it should work faster than the core2duo processors. WHich would not be a noticeable difference in the speed while we use the basic applications.

You would be happy with the performance of the iMac you bought and its a lil bad luck that you dint have any info about the updates..
A lot of people r using it and getting the output

As Apple never give any news about their releases, there would be more people like you who may feel cheated.
