User Group Meeting in Dubai

We are looking for a place in Dubai to have our User Group meeting at. If you have any ideas please let us know. We hope to have our first meeting in Dubai in Sept. Email at contact at emiratesmac doc com.

Hi Crystal,

I am one of the moderators of the dubai linux user group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dubailug/)

We have a meeting approx once every month, and our meetings usually alternate between the various open source consulting companies. month 1 it is at company X, month 2 it is at company Y.

I would volunteer our company but we are located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone and it will be tough getting everyone into the free zone.

Thank you! We are looking for a place that will be quiet, but a fun place to sit talk and maybe have a sandwich or something. But we will keep you in mind.

Theres a place in the Food court in Hamarain Centre its like a Function Room were you can held your meetings and you can order a light snack i the restaurants in the area. Our Photography club once held one of our monthly meeting in that area.
But I don't have any further info on the area (I.e. contacts, rates).

Just a suggestion of a place.

Hi guys,

The Rydges plaza hotel in Satwa has a breakfast room, which only gets used at breakfast times. Apart from that it is free with the exception of wednesdays when the strategy gaming group meets there and plays games etc. I could have a chat with the management, and see if i could get the room for us.
