Buying a new Macbook Pro

Hey there guys

I am planning on purchasing a new macbook pro 13 inch screen..2.53 Ghz and as I recall 240GB HD.
I have checked out the istyle store in Festival City , they dont have it in stock right now . They have told me over the fone that it costs 7000dhs
I checked a few shops at Al Ain Mall in Bur Dubai and that was the price range. (around 6900dhs)
Surprisingly one of the places was selling it for 5900Dhs .. 1000 dhs cheaper than all other shops . With the same specifications and 1 year International warranty .
Honestly , I dont understand why its cheaper but wondered if anyone has any idea why this shop is selling it at this price and whether its a good idea to buy it from them ..

It's probably pretty simple, it's a gray market product meaning they didn't buy it through the authorized distributor. The problem with that is a moral one more than anything, I think. By buying gray market your sale probably doesn't show up for the Middle East when Apple Inc looks at sales reports, meaning they won't see the proper growth in the market. Another thing is that gray market sales means your sale doesn't contribute towards the distributor's efforts in terms of regional advertising and localization.

Really, someone from iStyle or ABM should be answering this question as they are the ones concerned. Funny that someone from a user group has to try to explain it. We've offered them to be active on the site but so far they've declined.

Another reason to buy an official product is for Arabic.
Grey market products only come with English keyboards.

I was quite surprised since all places sold it at the same price except for that place which I honestly thought was an official reseller since they only sold Apples and Apple accessories .

One story is actually a authorized reseller, and sells both grey and legal products.
But they are clear about it.

The funny thing is I sometime go out of the way and order from the US instead of buying locally is just because I don't want an Arabic Keyboard.

So I guess it works both way. Most of the time when I have asked iStyle if I could get only an English keyboard they usually don't have one.

Buy it online if you don't need an arabic keyboard!

To be honest I don't see something like that named as gray market in other countries.open competition in a free market. Customers would of course choose the cheapest if you are aware of. Well for regional sales report, sale growth, this is the first I saw that we have to consider this when you buy a product. Do we need to sacrifice ourselves for the greater good of profit of the distributors?
