    My First Mac!

Finally the Macbook arrived, and was playing til very late! Feel very good.

Haven't used Mac before but not really difficult to start with, except a bit confused about installing softwares but now it seems alright. Want to try to learn more about the short cut keys and other stuff, is there any good websites for Mac beginners? Thanks.

YOU WILL LOVE the Macbook, and if you dont... I'll buy it off of you for 30% of what you bought it for!

congratulation and welcome to the club.
check the system preferences in the keyboard section, over there there is a list of all the shortcuts in the keyboard.

thanks hsn, pretty much familiar with it after playing for 2 days. also the huge touchpad and fingerworks.

Also bought the mighty mouse but not very good at start.. after updated the bluetooth it's a lot better . but still it's not as comfortable as my logitech mouse.

a lot of people are using their logitech mouse rather than the apple mighty mouse. i really think that apple should and will bring a new mouse to their collection that is more comfortable than the current one.
where did you buy your macbook from???

well.. i feel like i am stupid having purchased that mighty mouse quickly in virgin store . my 150aed logitech is much more comfortable. I don't think you could use the MM for too long. but is it unfair to compare that, everyone knows logitech is the expert in mouse!

Well bought it online in US and ship it here. But there's a joke in the purchase as i got 2 now

any ideas of necessary accessories? anyone using that keyboard cover?

i have an important question to ask, since i purchased this from US, the extension power cord doesn't fit there, anybody knows where in dubai could buy the cable can be used there? (the UK plug) Thanks

can you tell me from where exactly you got your mac from the US? and did you receive it ok??

a lot of people use the cover for the keyboard to keep the apple keyboard clean.

and be carful regarding the power for your mac. in the US they have a power of 110, and here and in europe they use 220, which is a higher power that could damage your computer. just check and make sure.
and regarding the power extension cable i am not sure where you will get one, but for sure you will find and extension from ace hardware, or a similar hardware store.
