a lot of people use the cover for the keyboard to keep the apple keyboard clean.

and be carful regarding the power for your mac. in the US they have a power of 110, and here and in europe they use 220, which is a higher power that could damage your computer. just check and make sure.
and regarding the power extension cable i am not sure where you will get one, but for sure you will find and extension from ace hardware, or a similar hardware store.
the power extension cable can only be used in that apple adapter, so i don't think we can buy it from ACE?

now the adapter is ok, it's for 110-220

no, i don't mean that you buy an apple power cable, i mean you buy an extension (like the one you put on the wall to put three power cables or more) some of them can take a US power cable in
an a day keeps windows away

Probably not necessary. You can just change the plug on the power adaptor, and many apple shops will sell you a square pin adaptor if you don't want to use a third party power power lead.

You buy a plug from spinneys get some wire cutters a flat head screw driver (small) a Phillips screwdriver (small). And you change the plug. Like on every other device you buy here.

You can buy a new power adapter at iStyle, Virgin, or anywhere that sells Apple/Macs (I have gotten them from both places). The plug is probably going to be the European plug, but probably not the UK plug.

You can just use your US plug here, with no worries, just get an adapter like they said, from any store. If you do get a new adapter, just make sure you get the correct watt for your Mac.

    Hope that helps

I thought Winduhs users were Jedis. Anyways, I haven't created a thread about my first Mac, so I guess I'll do that now.
