Safari having problem with letter T

    Hi there,

Whenver i am using Safari Browser for an internet banking and i type the letter T, it shows me.."this function is Not allowed"

There seems to be no issue with Mozilla? Is this the problem with Safari? Do i need to update my safari.

It helps to have a bit more information. What version of Safari? What website?

    Still a lot more questions:
What exactly are you doing when you get this error message?
What is the exact error message?
When did you start having this problem?
Have you contacted HSBC and described the problem to them?

If you were to title this thread with something more descriptive, like "Having problem with the letter 'T' using HSBC internet banking website," maybe some other users who use HSBC online might see it and be able to help much quicker.

I don't use HSBC online banking myself so I can't really help you much myself, but as far as I know HSBC internet banking supported safari 3.5 when I used it. I'm not sure if they support 4.0 yet. Best of luck troubleshooting it though!

    Hello

HSBC UAE state that the following browsers are compatible with their website:

    Operating System Browser
    Windows 98 IE 5.5( SP2)
    Windows 2000 (SP4) IE 5.01 (SP4)
    Windows XP (SP2) IE 6.0( SP2)
    Windows XP (SP2) Firefox 1.0.1
    Windows XP (SP2) Netscape 7.2
    MAC OSX Firefox 1.01
    MAC OSX Netscape 7.2

Notice that Safari is not on there. I work for Barclays and we have the same issue; Safari does not currently work with our implementation of online banking in UAE. Sadly it comes down to effort vs benefit. Until enough customers ask us to do it, the cost is not worth it due to the relatively low number of Safari users compared with IE and Firefox.

Hah - version 1.01 when Firefox is up to 3.5 now!

What I find funny about companys not supporting the most standards-compliant browser, is they're telling us that their website isn't standards compliant!

Emirates Bank website won't work on Safari or FF! Anyone had any experience with Lloyds? How is there online banking?

I know - I'm an emirates bank user. Not for much longer though. I can't wait to close my account with them - their customer service is appalling. And their website looks like it was designed in the early nineties. It doesn't even look good in IE.

I think one of the main reason they dont support Safari is because it isnt safe for online banking not yet at least.

    Why wouldn't it be safe?
