| renaming multiple files Is there a way without using iPhoto that I can rename multiple files in one go? I selected all the files I wanted to change and selected 'Get Info' but it only seemed like I could change them one at a time? |

| Perhaps A Better Finder Rename? I've not tried it myself. There's always the Terminal of course. |

| You can do it using Automator. You will have to build a new workflow. first drag in the files you want to rename. Then add the rename option. It will ask you if you want to rename the original or make a copy before making the changes (its better to copy) You have the option of adding date, replacing text, giving all the same name with a number, etc. Keep in mind, if you change files that are part of iPhoto this way, you will mess up iPhoto. |

Open the file. Put in the name you choose for the files. Select the files you want to rename in FInder. Run Automator. Hope it works for you. | |
