Loading my music into iTunes

I recently got a new MacBook Pro. My old laptop was damaged and I've lost all the data saved in it. I of course have a backup copy of all the music in my iPod in an external drive but the thing is that not all of it are actually in my iPod because I've deleted some of it from iTunes before syncing it.
Is there any possible way to get my music into iTunes off my iPod without losing my playlists, ratings, playcount ...ect?
Is there a manual way of doing so or do I have to get a third party program- if I do, then can you recommend one?
