Audio from VCD to MP3

Hi

i need to get the audio from a VCD(movie) and convert it into mp3

the most i was able to do was get an .asf file from it using VLC. Anyone here tried this before? which software is needed for this?

Quicktime Pro can do it, maybe even Visual Hub.
Can't think of a free way.

ffmpeg is a great swiss army knife for these types of things:

ffmpegX a DVD, SVCD, VCD, CVD, VOB, DivX, XviD, H.264, PSP, iPod, MP4, MOV, FLV encoder for Mac OSX

VisualHub is actually uses ffmpeg for it's engine, for those who might be interested.
