Audio Adapter for Guitar for GarageBand

Hi to all members. I just recently joined the group and actually just learned about the EMUG during the Gulf Photo Plus. Anyway, I hope someone in the group could tell me where I can buy an audio adapter for my electric guitar. I want to learn how to use GarageBand and record my songs but I don't have the adapter. I am using a MacBook Pro.

Im not sure what you mean. Are you looking for a 1/4 to 1/8 jack connector? Like to turn your guitar's cable into the small input of the Mac's audio input?

Get the M-Audio FastTrack, then you can plug the guitar into it, and the USB cable into your Mac, and record with Garageband or other software.

Sorry, yes I knew about it and I have one. I've only used it with a regular mic though, did the EmiratesMac podcast with it (as short-lived as it was). We bought ours from MediaCast. I think it was around AED500 or so.

I really cant figure out what part of Dubai that place is. :-(

DG Sharaf in TSC had a version JUST for podcasting. Looks exactly the same but was black, and was called the fast track podcast. Do you think they'd have this at say Jackies or Jumbo?

FastTrack podcast is the same box but it comes with microphone and a few other bits and pieces. iStyle used to have the podcast version but don't know if they still do.

I went to Radioshack and the guy there said they don't have the Guitar Plug USB Audio Adapter for the Mac. Where else can I buy this? I want to record some songs on my Mac with my guitar. Thanks.
