EmiratesMac Podcast Episode 3 This is the third episode of the EmiratesMac podcast. It was recorded on the evening of 12th of September at a get-together in Dubai. The same evening Apple held a Special Event. First Appleholic talks to a new user group member about his purchase of a Macbook and his decision to switch to Mac. Then iDubai tells us about his racing car and how EmiratesMac is going to be involved in the racing season. Finally, Appleholic details some of the news that Steve Jobs announced that evening, including the iTV. You can subscribe to our podcast feed. You can also download this particular episode without subscribing (see attachment below). Last edited by Magnus : 29th September 2006 at 11:44.

You mean in the directory in the iTunes store? No, as I've mentioned earlier to submit a podcast to the iTunes store podcast directory you have to submit credit card details (in one of the official iTunes countries) and we haven't been able to do that yet. If you mean it doesn't show up in your own list of podcasts in iTunes, then it's a different issue. Episodes 1 and 2 have worked fine for me on various Macs but now it doesn't seem to want to get Episode 3 at all. I'm working on it...

After a little troubleshooting I've come up with this... Whatever I tried it didn't work with iTunes 7. I downgraded to 6.0.4 and then the feed is alive if I subscribe directly to it (http://www.emiratesmac.com/files/podcast/podcast.xml) but it doesn't work if I subscribe to the FeedBurner feed (http://feeds.feedburner.com/emiratesmacpodcast). So maybe it has something to do with iTunes, maybe FeedBurner, maybe how I created the feed, I don't know. Any ideas, please let me know

This feed (http://www.emiratesmac.com/files/podcast/podcast.xml) works for me now in both iTunes 6 and 7. The FeedBurner feed doesn't work still, but I'll keep working on it.

I guess Feedburner needed a good night's sleep, that's all. I say that because the Feedburner feed (http://feeds.feedburner.com/emiratesmacpodcast) works again this morning, all four items in the podcast appear okay. So keep subscribing to the Feedburner feed and we hope this was temporary and that it will keep working from now on. It works for me in both iTunes 6 and 7. If you have problems, first remove the subscription and add it again.
