EmiratesMac Podcast Episode 1

This is our first podcast episode. It was recorded last Monday at the MacNight event in Dubai. Appleholic was our anchorman and he interviewed some people in the MacStore that night.

When you listen to this please keep in mind it is our first attempt at doing this. I know there are issues with sound-levels and editing, but I hope we can all just get better with more practice.

There seem to be some problems with the feed (of course!)... It works for me in NetNewswire but not in iTunes. I'll work on it some more and hopefully I can fix it.

Update: Now it works for me in iTunes.

I just wanted to say I'm sorry if I got anyone's name wrong. As you may have noticed this is an "enhanced podcast" which means it contains chapters and artwork for each chapter.

When you play it in iTunes, there's a little icon next to the top part where it says what you're playing, time left, etc (see attachment). If you click on it you can see the chapters.

aaaaa crystal ur making me blush, i will listen to it tonight,,, we have a plant shut down today so its going to be a long busy day for me... i am coming down tomorrow and will be there tuesday

i have my fingers crossed about the wireless mighty mouse, cause i am dieing to get 2 and i cant wait to see u all and learn more and have fun at the same time

i will do anything to make this website the best Mac site ever and make it fun and intertaining,... just tell me what to do and i will do it

doing podcasts last time at macnight was totally awesome... i cant wait to do more

You did an awesome job Appleholic, only little tweaks needed

We should also try to figure out what to do when we don't have events, so we can put out a podcast episode per week. One of the important things about making a podcast popular is to make it regular. Once a week is ambitious, I know, with everyone so busy with things, but I'm sure we can do it.

One thing to utilize is the Odeo-link I've put in the front page. With it anyone can record a message or question which we can then use in a podcast.

If anyone has anything they'd like to include in a future podcast, use that Odeo link, or you can also record it yourself and send it to us and we can put it in an episode when we edit it.
