    So true.
Nintendo understands its not about the hardware (just like the iPhone).
And they are now taking that knowledge to the bank.

I have a PS3, but I mainly use it to play media off my network.
Plus I got an awesome deal for it.

As for the piracy. I knew Magnus wasn't going to like that part.
    But I have 2 notes.
    - You can do that for the XBox. But I don't know about the UAE.
    - Remember that part of the console's profit is from the games. Sony still makes a loss on the PS3 (even the slim), but the PS unit is now showing fruit. This money comes from software.
So ironically, Wii's "strength" is killing it.
Not that Nintendo is crying right now.
    Stay hungry. Stay Foolish.

I understand piracy happens and I can for the most part understand why (software can be expensive, not available etc). And I don't mind it being discussed on the site, it is after all a reality. What I don't like to see here is how/where to get pirated stuff but this was not one of those situations.

No, I wouldnt tell people where they are sold. But chances are that if you buy gaming stuff in Abu Dhabi, you buy it in one of 2 centers, and both offer the pirated games.

Funny thing is 2 guys can walk into the store, and both ask for pirated games, and one will be told that they dont sell them and the other will be handed a HUGE box to choose from.

this wasnt the case when I was 15. So that tells us that there has been some sort of clamp down or even enforcing of anti piracy laws, its a mixed blessing.

Personally though, I'm an anarchist. If it is created, ANYWHERE, it is ripe for the taking by ANYONE. I do however understand that these things cant be discussed in full detail here. So I dont.
